Miss America’s Outstanding Teen empowered me to: The Miss America Organization has helped me to branch out, putting myself out there in a way I never thought possible. With a theater background I’ve always known how to present myself, yet through this organization it’s taught me how to feel confident, not act confident. It’s empowered me to feel comfortable talking in a group setting or even hold a simple conversation whether that’s in crown and sash, or without.  The opportunities provided by Miss America’s Outstanding Teen are life changing, and for me, life could not be sweeter.

Bio: As a Junior at Green Valley High School, Molly Martin is passionate about the performing arts. Her dream profession is to originate a role on Broadway in New York City. Molly has not only been section leader in her school’s choirs, but has led city and statewide sections as well. While keeping up with her active lifestyle, she also maintains over a 4.0 GPA. Molly believes that a happy life is achieved through three pillars: theatre, academics, and family.

Looking at the world around her, Molly saw the need for a bullying platform that worked peer to peer. The need became even more clear after her own experience being bullied. Now, she is making it her mission to spread the movement to schools across Nevada, making “uncool” the “new cool.” Dedicating her year of service to spreading an anthem of kindness through her platform, “So Uncool: A Peer to Peer Kindness Movement.” Molly wishes to make those who have been bullied feel loved and not alone.
