Congratulations on taking your first step towards the job of Miss America!

Participating in a Miss America Preliminary is a wonderful and unique experience.

You will gain poise and confidence, hone your interview and public speaking skills, make lifelong friendships, and become a part of the largest scholarship organization for young women in the world.

Our Executive Directors and committee members work year round to make this experience and scholarship money available to you.

The time to make a thoughtful decision as to whether or not you will get involved is now!

Miss Nevada Candidate Eligibility

Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age as of December 31st in the calendar year of the State Competition
Must not be older than twenty-six (26) years of age as of December 31st in the calendar year of the State Competition
Must either 1) reside in, 2) be enrolled and physically attending classes full-time at an accredited college/university, or 3) be employed full-time in Nevada
Must be a United States citizen
Must meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization
Must be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
Must be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the state and national competition(s)
Never have competed in the national finals of The Miss America Organization
