Miss America empowered me to: Become a world-changer. I have found my truest self during my 10-year involvement in the Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization, and I have been able to complete three years of my college education debt-free because of the scholarships I have been gifted. It is my firm belief that education is a path to power and Miss America has opened that path for me. I seek to share the empowerment of the Miss America Scholarship Organization through my Social Impact Initiative, “Breaking the Fourth Wall.” My performing arts-oriented program shows kids how to harness their uniqueness and creativity to change the world. This message was given to me by a combination of my involvement in the performing arts and Miss America, and it is my mission to similarly empower Nevada’s youth.

Bio: Heather Renner is a Senior in the Honors College at UNLV majoring in Theater and double-minoring in Political Science and Vocal Performance. Heather credits her participation in Theater for helping her harness her confidence, uniqueness, and creativity to change the world. Her life’s work is to reestablish federally funded theaters across America to make performance accessible and affordable to every American. Heather’s professional goal is to become a musical theater and opera singer!
